Utilization of Different Additives in Improving Sandy Soil against Liquefaction

One of the main risks in low-densified sandy soils with presence water and an external force such as earthquake is generation liquefaction. The influence several types reinforcement on liquefaction resistance, polypropylene fibers, geofibers, cement fibers shown this study. Cyclic stress-controlled triaxial tests cyclic strain-controlled were performed saturated samples without reinforcements under undrained conditions. It was found that improvement factor (LIF) increased when fiber content length increased. addition geofibers number layers 3%C+1%F provided best resistance study compared other additives. Finally, crucial resistanceof bitumen mastic should be considered beside asphalt mixture performance rheological behavior.
